Old engines – a veritable feast for the eyes
Just ten years ago, the engine shed in the town of Schwarzenberg in
the Ore Mountains was a ruin. Today it is a feast for the eyes with a
number of steam engines that are definitely worth seeing. Every year
during the Schwarzenberg Railroad Festival, thousands of people visit
the exhibition to experience the Series 50 steam engine in action. In
addition, regular special trips take the visitors through the beautiful
Ore Mountains to the Elbe River in Dresden, an experience in steam on
the rails and by the water. Your seat on the Schwarzenberg steam train
is reserved.
